Facing the Music

In November, 2009, Advisor Impact published a report entitled ’50,000 Clients Can’t Be Wrong’ which provided data and insights based on data collected from 56,000 clients during the five-year period between 2004 and 2008. Overall, satisfaction with financial advisors was strong and there were clear opportunities to grow relationships organically, however the report necessarily ended with a question mark as a result of continued market pressure. What would happen to client satisfaction in 2009 and what would that mean for advisors?

This interim update is designed to answer that question, based on the more than 10,000 clients who completed surveys in 2009. The report examines changes on several key metrics, with a focus on the things that clients value and expect from an advisor.
